Bicycle Lamp
Bicycle lamps are essential for safe nighttime riding, filling a market need. With high usage rates, the bicycle lamp market holds significant potential for manufacturers.
Here is one of YFM’s typica development cases in this regard:
Functionality Requirement:
1. It needed to have a built-in rechargeable lithium battery and a USB charging interface.
2. The lamp should be controlled using a button, with a single click to turn it on, a long press of 2 seconds to activate the flashing mode, and a double click to turn it off.
3. The lamp should offer three illumination modes: energy-saving, standard, and high brightness.
4. Additionally, LED battery level indicators were desired, with four lights representing 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% battery capacity.
Selection of Microcontroller
Based on the above functionality requirement and after reviewing customer’s PCB design, NY8B062F SOT23-6 was suggested as the proper part for this particular application. This is 14 I/O + 12-ch ADC 8-bit EPROM-Based MCU replacing earlier part NY8B062D. It is very suitable for those applications that are sophisticated but compact program size is required.
The design allows for future updates to enhance functionality such as the addition of flashing modes for the light and improvements to battery life, ultimately aiming to elevate the overall user experience. Please don’t hesitate to contact YFM to get your specialized firmware solution.
