For car owner, it is usual practice to check the tire pressure and inflate the tire when it is under normal level. To inflate tires seem like a simple work to do for small vehicles, like bicycles. However, when it comes to motor vehicles, a specific inflation tool is required. In such case, besides turning to 4S service, there is more handy solution- a worry-free portable inflate pump.

1. General Introduction Inflation Pump Application  

The inflation pump is constructed mainly of a driver motor, an air pressure sensor, a LED screen display, controller module and etc. Its control circuit uses a MCU to receive the air pressure data,as well as adjust the speed and volume of pumped air. Once plugged in with the air nozzle, the pump will automatically detect the air pressure and auto-off once complete.

2. Functions and Features

The inflation pump solution designed by Yufan adopts NY8B062E as the controller. Through process of circuit design, firmware development, testing and debugging, the prototype come into being with below functions ( can be customized as per request):

a. Key control: Left/Right button to increase or decrease. b.Kgf/Bar switch:Up/Down button to switch between different units.

c. ON/OFF: On/Off button control.

d. Led Indication: Red warning light and flashlight button switch.

There are multiple MCUs optional for this applications.The Nyquest NY8B062E is recommended as an EPROM-based 8 bit microcontroller tailored for I/O applications like household appliances and meter equipments, provideing 11+1 channel high-precision 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and high-precision Low Dropout Regulator and analog voltage comparator. It is quite suitable for any analog interface detection and measurement applications, the portable inflate pump, for instance.
